 HEADQUARTER GENERALI, VIA BASSI, MILAN

The Project of the new Via Bassi Business Park intends to build a layered image with a strong landscape and Urban Landmark connotation for Milan.
The design identifies a highly recognizable vertical landmark, in dialogue with the urban scale, by searching the relationship with the neighborhood, through the design of a landscaped platform that represents the other important functional core of the Master Plan.
Plot's insistence in the Isola neighborhood is an important aspect to which the Master Plan looks for, seeking a comparison with the adjacent buildings.
The objective is to create a modern Directional Campus that identifies and organizes in a coherent way public and private spaces, common services and offices, primary and secondary accesses to the Complex.
The project works on the idea of stratification and excavation, both in the articulation of the Volume of the Tower, as well as in the horizontal volume connected to it, and the underlying volume-landscape.

Nemesi has been awarded with the Italian Pavilion at Expo 2015 First Prize for Digital Architecture at the International Competition Idea-Tops 2015. The awards ceremony, held in Shenzhen last Thursday, December 3, has been an extraordinary example of the growing attention in China to the international architecture of quality.

The prestigious international jury included among others the professor at Yale University Joel Sanders and David Howard, expert on sustainable design at Oxford University. As reported by Professor Antonino Saggio, only Italian member, the project received unanimous appreciation "primarily in terms of technology and production, for the use of materials with a positive environment, also for the development of design BIM integrated quality which allowed the architects to also coordinate the execution, finally from the spatial point of view for the permeability and the richness of events ".

Eligible projects had passed through two phases of selections on line before the work of the jury and the prize in China has enjoyed a high media coverage has also conveyed the contents of Italian excellence that have made this project possible.

Nemesi was invited on December 16th Assembly of the Architects of Parma. On that occasion, the Order will present asi its members the balance of the activities of 2015 and the new initiatives for 2016.

The intervention of Susanna Tradati want to bring in the capital of Emilia, home of the European Food Safety Authority, the debate on the legacy of EXPO 2015 and the possibility of future use of the structures and connections activated.

On december 14, Nemesi will be in the Italian Embassy in Madrid to give a lecture on the Italian Pavilion at EXPO Milano 2015, an occasion to take stock of what has been done and drawing a horizon of possible future for the building.

After the introduction of the landlord, Ambassador Pietro Sebastiani, Francesco Delogu and Michele Mole will give a talk entitled: Italian Pavilion Expo 2015: towards a new urban renaissance.

Following will be offered a cocktail in the beautiful winter garden of the Palacio de Amboage, Italian Embassy in Spain.
Expectations are numerous institutional and business guests.

In his speech, which opened Saturday, Nov. 28 conference-debate on The Next Rome commissioned by Francesco Rutelli, Michele Mole spoke of the need for a debate on the high Rome the next few years, which puts the proper attention to urban design and the public space, as well as in the most dynamic European capitals and beyond. Necessary, adds Mole, the Rediscovery of Civitas, the space of all.

After this first session ideas will work to a planning document, essential to produce something concrete. The tools are all there. Just bureaucracies and empty formalism: to be formed at a New Urban Renaissance involving the private and the public must share the vision. These are some of the key issues to think about; Citta 'meteopolitana, recovery ratio of the consolidated City and the Tiber, polycentricity' to restore value to the suburbs attracting private interests. Tools are then used to mobilize resources concrete rewards, and new policies that activate slender resources.

In winding-up of a note aimed for the debate which has been discussed for years in Rome, and now even more present, to realize starting from the Archaeological Park of the Forum in Rome, the most important archaeological park in the world, what that alone could attract new tourism and investment capital sufficient to revive the city's role as a primary reference for cultural and tourism internationally.
